For top big game viewing, however, my favourite spot in Botswana is Moremi Game Reserve, some kilometres from Maun, North West Botswana, – no better place to see all three big cat species (lion, leopard and cheetah) along with the endangered African wild dog.

I’d long heard stories of what a wonderful wildlife destination Botswana was, but to be honest I thought it was all probably a bit overhyped. How wrong I was. Northern Botswana is said to have one of the largest, densest populations of elephants in Africa and I think I can honestly say that after my first few days in Botswana I’d probably seen more elephants.

This is our second time travelling with Tamog Safaris and we were once again very happy with our experience. This is especially considering the many times we had to re-book due to Covid! EA worked hard to make sure we still got the experience we wanted and we are massively appreciative of that.
